Superintendent/Secondary Principal

Larry Long

Background: Mr. Long earned his Masters of Education in School Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston-Victoria and his Bachelors in Elementary Education from Abilene Christian University. Mr. Long served as the Elementary Principal at Faith Academy from 2006-2017 before being promoted to his current role of Superintendent/Secondary Principal.

Mr. Long has 28 years of experience in K3-12 education and serves as an ICAA Accreditation Engagement Review Team member.

Mr. Long is an ordained minister and active member of Faith Family Church.

Elementary Principal

Terry Neinast

Background: Mrs. Neinast attended Victoria College and the University of Houston-Victoria and received a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Education in School Administration and Supervision. She has 32 years experience in K3-12 education.

As a Faith Academy parent, Mrs. Neinast served on the Development Team and the Advisory Council. Mrs. Neinast has also served as an ICAA Accreditation Engagement Review Team member.

Mrs. Neinast is an active member of Faith Family Church and serves on the Usher DreamTeam.

Athletic Director

Gil Gonzalez III

Background: Mr. Gil Gonzalez graduated from Texas State Technical College with an Associate's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety in 2002 and was in the safety industry for over 13 years. Mr. Gonzalez has coached youth sports for the past 12 years. He coached at Bloomington High School from 2004-2006 where he served as the head cross-country coach on two district champion teams. He also served as an assistant baseball coach on two regional qualifying teams and worked as an assistant football coach.

Mr. Gonzalez is married to Emily Gonzalez and has 3 children. Mr. Gonzalez and his wife created a non-profit organization, The Bloomington Sports Association, which hosts a basketball, flag football, and soccer league and has over 150 kids that participate annually.

Mr. Gonzalez is an active member of Family Faith Church. He enjoys teaching his monthly men's Bible group, spending time with his family, and traveling overseas. Mr. Gonzalez also loves to wrestle with his boys and ride roller coasters with his fearless daughter.

Registrar/Academic Advisor - Secondary Campus

Hope Mancillas

Background: Ms. Hope Mancillas was born and raised in Victoria, Texas. She is a Stroman High School graduate and is currently attending Victoria College. Hope has over 20 years of work experience in education. She worked for the Continuing Education department at Victoria College for two years prior to her employment at Faith Academy. From 2001-2010, she worked as administrative assistant for Faith Academy.

She has three children, who all attended Faith Academy for 10 of their school years before they moved away. Her middle son, Abrum, graduated from Faith Academy in 2010.

While away from Victoria, Hope was employed as administrative assistant for Federal Programs/Bilingual Director for six years in Alice Independent School District and as PEIMS secretary for one year in Calallen Independent School District. She began working for Faith Academy again in 2017 as the Academic Advisor/Registrar.

Ms. Hope Mancillas believes that the Christian education at Faith Academy has taught and supported her own beliefs in Christ. At Faith Academy, her children learned to be strong in their faith, in their minds, and in their hearts, which greatly contributed in helping them become the Christians they are today. "For me and my house, we will serve the Lord. . . " Joshua 24:15

Administrative Assistant - Secondary Campus

Nina Cornwell

Background: Mrs. Nina Cornwell is a proud Faith Academy alumni. She attended Victoria College, where she earned an Associate's Degree in Computer Science. She began working for Faith Academy in 2007 as the kitchen director for the secondary campus; in 2010, she moved to the office as the administrative assistant.

She and her husband, Frank, have three children. Zachary is a 2011 Faith Academy graduate, Timothy is a 2019 Faith Academy graduate, and Hannah is a 10th grade honor student at FA. Nina also has a granddaughter, Addie, who will be attending the K3 program in the fall.

Mrs. Cornwell believes deeply in the Christian education that Faith Academy offers and the Biblical Worldview we strive to instill in the hearts of our students.


4th Grade

Melody Crabill

Background: Melody Crabill was born and raised in Victoria and attended Victoria schools all her life. She attended Victoria College and Rice University before marrying into the military and moving away. Mrs. Crabill later returned to Victoria and attended Victoria College and the University of Houston Victoria where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Mrs. Crabill was also part of the first graduating class of Destiny Bible Institute in 1998. She has attended Faith Family Church since 1987 volunteering regularly in the preschool, student ministries, and intercessory prayer.

Mrs. Crabill has five adult children living, all but one of whom are married. She has thirteen grandchildren. Three of her children graduated from Faith Academy and her grandchildren attend Faith Academy now.


Kylie Cuellar

Background: Kylie Cuellar graduated from UHV with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in Early Childhood Education. She has 15 years of teaching experience, 13 of which have been in Christian Education and 10 of those years have been with Faith Academy.

Ms. Cuellar's passion is to teach the next generation of children to live with purpose and to fulfill the calling God has on each of their lives to its fullest.

Ms. Cuellar has three beautiful girls who all attend Faith Academy.

Ms. Cuellar and her family are members of Faith Family Church.

5th Grade

Tamra Denoyer

Background: Tamra Denoyer graduated from the University of Houston Victoria in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in education. She taught multiple grades at Victoria ISD elementary schools and also worked as a substitute teacher throughout the district. This is her fourth year at Faith Academy.

She has been married to Todd Denoyer for thirteen years and has three children. Her oldest child, Becca, is a Texas A&M graduate, her son, Tanner, attends Central Baptist College in Conway, Arkansas, and son, Hunter, attends Faith Academy.

Mrs. Denoyer loves to spend time with her family playing games, watching movies, and taking trips to see her husband's family in Petoskey, Michigan. Mrs. Denoyer also likes garage sale hunting for treasures and going to dinner with friends. It is very important to Mrs. Denoyer to spend time with God, read her bible and other Christ-centered books, and pray with others.

Emily Gonzalez

Background: Emily Gonzalez is a 2001 graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos where she majored in Exercise Sports Science and Health. While at Texas State, she played collegiate soccer.

Mrs. Gonzalez worked at the Citizens Healthplex for 3 years as a Fitness Specialist before moving to Florida with her family. She continue to work as a personal trainer in Florida and also coached soccer.

Mrs. Gonzalez and her family moved back to Victoria in 2011 and involved in their community and Faith Family Church. She and her husband Gil, Faith Academy's athletic director, developed Bloomington Sports Association to give kids ages 4-12 an opportunity to play sports including basketball, soccer, and flag football.

Mrs. Gonzalez entered the Educator Preparation Program at Region 3 to become a certified teacher. She has taught P.E. and Kindergarten for 5 years. This is Mrs. Gonzalez's fourth year at Faith Academy

Mrs. Gonzalez and her husband have three children -- Isaiah, Elijah, and Gisele -- who attend Faith Academy.

2nd Grade

Daniel Laughhunn

Background: Daniel Laughhunn has a Masters Degree in Education and Undergraduate degree in Counseling and Guidance. Mr. Laughhunn has gone on missions trips to Mexico, Guatemala, India, and Sri Lanka. Mr. Laughhunn was in Sri Lanka twice during their Civil War and while in India he visited a leper colony.

Mr. Laughhunn hopes to some day help start a school in India or Sri Lanka.

Mr. Laughhunn's classes have donated money to the orphanage in Sri Lanka and spoken to the children via Skype.

3rd Grade

Jade Manning

Background: Jade Manning was born and raised in Victoria, Texas. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a Fashion Merchandising degree and minored in business communication. She earned her teaching certification through the UHV alternative certification program. Mrs. Manning has taught 7 years at Faith Academy and a total of 15 years.

Mrs. Manning and her husband have two children who attend Faith Academy. Mrs. Manning has attended Faith Family Church for 24 years and loves to cook and read.

K3 Aide; Secondary Spanish

Ana Martinez Gonzalez

Background: Ana Gonzalez was born in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. Mrs. Gonzalez received a Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Coahuila in Mexico. She worked in accounting for 13 years. Mrs. Gonzalez taught Spanish three years at the Elementary Campus and has been an aide in the preschool classes. This will be Mrs. Gonzalez's second year teaching Spanish at the Secondary Campus.

Mrs. Gonzalez has lived in the United States for the last 19 years. For the last 8 years she has been involved in missions, traveling internationally with her family. She has studied English as a Second Language for 8 years as well.

Mrs. Gonzalez has volunteered in costume design for the Faith Academy Spring Musicals the past 6 years.

High School Science

Joy Pittman

Background: Joy Pittman is a 1969 graduate of Victoria High School and a 1971 graduate of Victoria College with an Associate of Arts degree. From 1971-72 Ms.Pittman worked at Victoria Bank and Trust. Ms. Pittman returned to school and graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science from Southwest Texas State University. Ms. Pittman taught 30 years in public schools (High School Health, Biology, Chemistry, Networking, and PE) and coached for 29 years (volleyball, basketball, softball, golf, tennis, track, and cross country).

Ms. Pittman's favorite time of the year is Christmas. Her favorite things to do are wood working, gardening/yard, photography, travelling, and working with kids.

Donna Potts

Background: Donna Potts graduated from Cuero High School and has worked in Christian education for 35 years. Working at Faith Academy has given Mrs. Potts a treasure of opportunities to impart the love of Jesus to children of all ages. She wants the children to KNOW Jesus, to recognize and appreciate all He has done and is doing in their lives. There is no greater joy than knowing Him.

Mrs. Potts has been married for 49 years and has three wonderful sons and daughter-in-laws. She also has six beautiful granddaughters and grandsons.

William Pozzi

Background: Bill Pozzi has a bachelor's degree in History from California State Fullerton and is a retired Navy SEAL. He worked for the Department of Defense in Korea organizing exercises between the Korean SEALs and U.S. SEALs. Mr. Pozzi has owned and operated several successful businesses and hired hundreds of employees. The thrust of Mr. Pozzi's ministry at Faith Academy has been to have his students look at the real world through guest speakers and his practical knowledge. His goal is to have every student obtain and hold a good job after graduating from college and using their gifts and talents for the glory of God. This is Mr. Pozzi's 7th year teaching at Faith Academy.

Mr. Pozzi has been married for 39 years to his wife Barbara Breazeale and has four grown children.

6th Grade

Cristal Vasquez

Background: Cristal Vasquez graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She earned her teaching certification through Texas Teachers and is in her 6th year of teaching. Mrs. Vasquez holds certifications in the areas of Generalist EC-6 and Special Education K-12. She previously worked at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health for 7 years where she taught Special Education for 2 years. Mrs. Vasquez has taught 3 years at Faith Academy.

Mrs. Vasquez has been married for 8 years to Matthew who is a deputy for Victoria County. Mrs. Vasquez and her husband have two beautiful daughters. Cristal and her husband love animals and have several pets. Mrs. Vasquez enjoys singing, spending time with family and friends, and watching Food Network. She has taken a recent interest in gardening and landscaping.
